CHF Summer Challenge Week 2 - Paper Piecing

The first week of Cornish Heritage Farms' Summer Design challenge is over, the second week is all about paper piecing. It's not one of my favorite techniques, but one I am beginning to like a lot.

For my entry this week, I chose to use a couple of Kim Hughes' sets, Pretty Birds and The Landing Pad and stamped them on different patterned paper scraps before stamping onto white cardstock. The limb, leaves, stems and humming bird are colored and the rest is cut out.

Stampin Up! soft sky is lightly stippled around the birds for a softer sky effect.

Stamps: Kim Hughes Pretty Birds, Landing Pad
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin Up! Soft Sky
Accessories: Stipple Brush, Prismacolor Markers, Brads, Ribbon Bow
Cardstock: White, Pretty In Pink, Celery, Making Memories Spring DP, Patterned Paper Scraps
